Itinerary Overview

Day1 Arrival in Anchorage: ANC pickup or hotel shuttle, check-in, free time in the city
Day2 Matanuska Glacier: Depart around 8:30, 3-hour drive, 4–5 hours of glacier hiking, return to Anchorage in the evening.
Day3 to Fairbanks: Flights at your own expense, approx. 1 hours; depart for cabin aurora viewing around 22:00, return to hotel around 02:00.

Adjustments

Aurora is a natural phenomenon and may not be visible due to cloudy skies, moon phases, or solar activity; three nights simply increase your chances. The Santa Claus Village operates on fixed hours during winter and appears closed when not open. For the hot springs, please bring your own swimsuit, towel, and slippers. On Day 5-6, return to your hotel early in the morning; avoid scheduling daytime activities too early.
